Nancy Brown’s diary entries from September 6 – 10, 1921



Sep 6 – Helen & Jean[1] to school. Jeans first day. Robert[2] and Martha[3] in High S. Robert “Lake View” Martha “Senn.”[4] Floyd & Mildred[5] came 7-30 P.M. Earl B–[6] buried.

Sep 7 – Hannah[7] & Mrs Barber[8] went home with F & M. Left here 8-30. A.M.

Sep 8 – Ethan[9] & I alone. He is working in the alfalfa.

Sep 9 – Ethan drew in alfalfa. Lela[10] sent Claudes[11] & my pictures. Lou sent groups with Mrs Barber in.

Sep 10 – LaVerns[12] 37 birthday. Mrs Barber came from Shelbyville yesterday.
